Stint — Terms & Disclaimer

Stint is a ledger, not an accountant. It records the time you tracked and works out what it is worth at the rate you typed in. It does not know what you actually agreed with a client, and it is not accounting, tax or legal advice.
Check the figures against your own agreement before you invoice anyone on the strength of them, and keep whatever records your tax authority requires independently of this app.
Your licence to use it
Stint is licensed to you for personal and business use on Macs you own or control. You may not redistribute, resell or sublicense it. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies in addition to these terms. Every feature is free and there is nothing to buy inside the app.
It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Two things about how it prices work
Both are deliberate, and both change what an invoice comes to, so they are worth knowing before you send one.
A rate is fixed onto each stint when that stint is created. Changing a client's rate afterwards does not re-price work you have already tracked. New stints pick up the new rate; old ones keep the rate they were worth at the time.
A day rate is charged once per client per day, however many of that client's projects the day covered. When a report is grouped by project, that single day is divided between the projects in proportion to the time each took, so the columns still add up to one day.
Deleting destroys the time beneath it
Deleting a client, a project or a task permanently destroys the tracked time it holds, and that time disappears from your figures. Stint tells you exactly what will go and asks you to confirm, but it cannot undo it afterwards. Archiving is the alternative: it puts finished work away and keeps every hour.
Your data lives only on your Mac, so keep your own backups. There is no copy anywhere else to restore from — see the privacy policy.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any loss of data, loss of income, or any other damages arising from the use of this software. Nothing here limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

If they change, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
